| I was going to write an article about Virginia's upcoming "Largest Yard Sale" taking place this Spring on May 31st in Mathews County, Virginia. It turns out that doesn't even hold a candle to many others. How about 690 Miles Long? Yep...there's one coming up that runs from Addison, Michigan to Gadsden, Alabama, and is 690 miles long, It is dubbed the "127 Yard Sale - The World's Longest Yard Sale" , and runs from August 6th through the 9th for 2015.

"The 127 Yard Sale is commonly referred to as “The World's Longest Yard Sale”. That’s because it really is the longest yard sale in the world. To be exact, it’s 690 miles long and the route travels through 6 states; Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. The majority of the route follows Highway 127 from Addison, MI in the north to Chattanooga, TN in the south. From Lookout Mountain, GA to Gadsden, AL the route switches to Lookout Mountain Parkway. Both are scenic drives allowing you to appreciate the beautiful countryside of these states all while enjoying the fun and excitement of The World’s Longest Yard Sale."
But that title may change next year, as another is boasting it is now well over 800 miles long, running from Baltimore, Maryland to St. Louis, MO. Billed as the "U.S. 40 Yard Sale - National Road Yard Sale" , this year it will run from May 27 to May 31, and actually spans 824 miles. Wow.
Yet as they say on TV.....But Wait! There's More!
There is another one coming up in May that boast 3,073 Miles Long (errr....that's THREE THOUSAND SEVENTY THREE MILES), running from Ocean City, Maryland to Sacramento, CA, and billed as the "Coast to Coast Sixteenth Annual GREAT U.S. Yard Sale" That sale is from May 15th to May 17th.
So...watcha doing in May? Hehehe.....
